Job Description

Job Summary Loper Law LLC is seeking a part-time to full-time office assistant to perform bookkeeping and legal secretary duties. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, a great communicator, and willing to assist when and where needed. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, billing, processing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank statements, and processing payroll. The candidate will also be required to assist with legal matters such as assisting with drafting pleadings and discovery, maintaining calendars, and communicating with clients. We are willing to train the right candidate and to offer a flexible work schedule. Responsibilities Accurately record all financial transactions in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Clio). Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoice processing and payment reconciliation. Perform bank statement reconciliations to ensure accuracy. Prepare and analyze financial reports such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Manage payroll processing and tax filings. Assist in drafting legal letters, pleadings, and discovery. Maintain regular communication with clients. Monitor deadlines and manage attorney calendars. Requirements Proven experience in bookkeeping or a related field. Experience in QuickBooks required. Experience with Clio preferred. Familiarity with accounting practices and governmental accounting standards is a plus. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
