The Corporate Paralegal will support a broad range of corporate governance, compliance, licensing, real estate, litigation, and risk management activities for a growing multi-state restaurant and hospitality organization. This role will play a key part in managing corporate entities and filings, supporting liquor licensing processes, maintaining legal records and lease documentation, and assisting with litigation and insurance-related matters. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, resourceful, adaptable, and comfortable balancing routine administrative responsibilities with evolving legal and operational needs in a fast-paced environment. This position is based out of Downers Grove, IL, where we have a hybrid work environment (3 days/week on-site).
How You Will Succeed:
Corporate Governance & Compliance Manage the creation, registration, and maintenance of corporate entities, including forming new LLCs and related filings in connection with new restaurant openings Prepare and file annual reports, franchise tax filings, and other state-required corporate compliance documents Coordinate and maintain registered agent renewals across multiple jurisdictions Manage trade name registrations and renewals Obtain and maintain certificates of good standing and other corporate records as needed Maintain accurate corporate records, organizational documents, and filing calendars Licensing & Real Estate Support Support liquor licensing activities in partnership with outside vendors and internal stakeholders Assist with the preparation, organization, and tracking of liquor license documentation and renewals Manage legal and lease documentation within Sitefolio, including uploading leases, tracking renewal dates, and maintaining accurate records Risk Management Support Support risk management processes, including coordinating filings and documentation with insurance carriers Help track and manage general liability claims, including guest incidents such as slip-and-fall cases General Legal Support Assist with drafting, reviewing, organizing, and managing legal documents and correspondence Coordinate with outside counsel, vendors, landlords, insurance carriers, and internal departments as needed Support special projects and additional legal or operational initiatives in a growing organization Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment in handling sensitive information What You'll Need Minimum of 5 years of corporate paralegal experience, preferably supporting a multi-unit, retail, restaurant, hospitality, or similarly fast-paced organization Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred; Paralegal certificate strongly preferred Experience with corporate entity management, state filings, and compliance tracking Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a dynamic environment Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal document management systems; experience with Sitefolio or similar platforms is a plus Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across departments
Compensation Range:
$90,000 - $110,000. The final offered salary will be based on several factors, including but not limited to the candidate's depth of experience, skill set, qualifications, and internal pay equity.
