We are seeking an experienced Employment Litigation Paralegal to join our growing employment defense practice. Position Overview The successful candidate will support attorneys in all phases of employment litigation, from case inception through trial. Our practice is completely paperless and cloud-based, and we embrace technology that allows our team to work efficiently while delivering outstanding client service. This is a hybrid position, with an expectation of three days per week in our Irvine office. Employees may work remotely on the remaining workdays. Responsibilities Support attorneys through all stages of employment litigation, from inception through trial Draft, prepare, format, proofread, and file pleadings, motions, discovery, subpoenas, correspondence, and other litigation documents Manage all aspects of written discovery, including document collection, organization, production, and responses Coordinate electronic filing and service through OneLegal and other court filing systems Maintain organized electronic case files using our cloud-based document management system Assist with trial preparation, including trial notebooks, exhibits, witness files, and courtroom logistics Prepare accurate, timely, and detailed time entries in accordance with client and insurance carrier billing guidelines Assist attorneys with insurance carrier reporting requirements, litigation budgets, litigation plans, and other client-specific reporting obligations Help ensure attorneys remain ahead of deadlines and litigation milestones Qualifications 3+ years of defense-side litigation paralegal experience (employment law experience strongly preferred) Experience supporting insurance defense litigation is highly desirable, particularly familiarity with insurance carrier reporting requirements, litigation budgets, and billing guidelines Bachelor's degree and/or Paralegal Certificate meeting California statutory requirements Excellent organizational, proofreading, and time-management skills Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work Ability to manage multiple cases and competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment Excellent written and verbal communication skills Professional demeanor with a positive attitude and collaborative, team-oriented mindset Technology Experience Experience with the following is preferred, although we are happy to train the right candidate: NetDocuments Clio ShareFile OneLegal Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel) Adobe Acrobat We continually invest in technology that allows our team to work smarter and deliver exceptional client service. Compensation & Benefits This is a non-exempt position and compensation is $36.00 - $46.00/hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
