Martin, Esq. LLC — Lake Oswego, Oregon Full-Time | In-Person Only (No Remote or Hybrid Work) About the Firm Jennifer Martin is a solo practitioner and has her main office in Lake Oswego, with a small satellite office in Woodburn. We serve clients throughout the Portland metro area and the Willamette Valley, including Woodburn and the surrounding mid-valley communities. Our practice focuses on probate administration, estate planning, trust administration, guardianship and conservatorship, owner carry contracts, and tax matters. The firm is built on personal attention, clear communication, and practical solutions that are economical for Oregon families navigating complex life transitions. About the Attorney Jennifer Martin is the founding attorney. She holds a J.D. from Lewis & Clark Law School and a Tax LL.M. from the University of Washington. She represents clients in Oregon's trial and appellate courts, the U.S. Tax Court, the U.S. District Court, and the Oregon Tax Court, including in contested matters. Her practice combines tax sophistication with hands-on probate, trust, and protective proceeding work. What You'll Do Administer probate estates from intake through closing. Administer trusts, including funding, distributions, accountings, and beneficiary communications. Prepare guardianship and conservatorship petitions and supporting documentation. Draft pleadings, accountings, inventories, and correspondence. Coordinate with courts, financial institutions, and outside professionals (CPAs, financial advisors, co-counsel). Drive to court, client meetings, and other off-site locations as needed. Communicate professionally with clients, fiduciaries, and beneficiaries. Required — Non-Negotiable Hands-on paralegal experience — Minimum One Year — actually administering probates, administering trusts, or preparing guardianship and conservatorship petitions. Applicants who have only observed, assisted around the edges, or worked in adjacent practice areas (general litigation, family law, transactional) will not be considered. You must have done the work yourself. Full-time availability, in person, at our Lake Oswego office. This position is not remote and not hybrid. Do not apply if you are seeking remote or hybrid work. Willingness to work evenings and weekends when needed. Valid Oregon driver's license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance. This position requires driving to court and other locations for client meetings. Minimum typing speed of 60 wpm with high accuracy. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple matters at once. This position requires exclusive employment with the firm. Due to the confidential nature of our practice and the demands of the role, the paralegal may not hold other employment, operate an outside business, or perform freelance legal work while employed by the firm.
