Job Description
Fragachan Immigration Law, PLLC is seeking a motivated, organized, and detail-oriented Immigration Paralegal to join our growing immigration practice. The ideal candidate is bilingual in English and Spanish, has strong communication skills, works well both independently and as part of a team, and is comfortable handling a fast-paced caseload involving both USCIS and Immigration Court matters. We are looking for someone who is professional with clients, proactive with case management, and capable of assisting the attorney in preparing high-quality filings and maintaining organized workflows. Responsibilities The Immigration Paralegal's duties may include: Assisting with preparation and filing of immigration applications and petitions before USCIS and EOIR. Drafting motions, declarations, cover letters, affidavits, and legal correspondence Preparing and organizing evidence packets and exhibits. Managing immigration court deadlines, hearings, and filing calendars. Maintaining accurate case notes and client communication logs. Communicating with clients regarding case updates, document requests, and hearing preparation. Conducting intake consultations and gathering supporting documentation. Completing immigration forms, including but not limited to:
I-589 I-130 I-485 EOIR-42B I-765
I-131, Bond-related filings. Assisting with detained and non-detained immigration matters. Coordinating with detention centers, immigration courts, USCIS, and government agencies. Managing phone calls, emails, scheduling, and client follow-ups. Updating office calendars and hearing schedules. Assisting with billing, invoicing, and administrative tasks when necessary. Working with case management software such as: Docketwise, MyCase. Maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all time.
Qualifications Preferred qualifications include:
Prior experience as an immigration paralegal or legal assistant. Familiarity with Immigration Court (EOIR) procedures and USCIS filings. Strong drafting and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple deadlines and a high-volume caseload. Strong client service and communication skills. Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
