Maris Immigration Law, P.C. is a Boulder-based immigration law firm focused on representing immigrants and families in asylum, humanitarian, family-based, and removal defense matters. Our work is driven by a deep commitment to humanitarian relief and access to justice. While we handle a broad range of immigration matters, asylum and humanitarian-based cases are at the heart of our practice. Many of our clients have fled persecution, violence, or other dangerous circumstances, and are seeking protection, stability, and the opportunity to build their futures in the United States. We are honored and privileged to advocate for them, and to navigate the immigration system with them. We are seeking a full-time paralegal to join our team. This is an opportunity to contribute to meaningful, high-impact work while developing expertise in immigration law. The position is hybrid, with some in-person work in our Boulder office required each week. Job Duties Under the supervision of an attorney, the paralegal will: Assist with the preparation and filing of immigration applications and petitions, with a significant focus on asylum, Special Immigrant Juvenile Status cases, and other forms of humanitarian relief Support attorneys in preparing for immigration court hearings and other proceedings Maintain regular communication with clients and serve as a key point of contact throughout their cases Gather, organize, review, and track supporting documentation and evidence Draft immigration forms, declarations, and other case-related documents for attorney review Maintain accurate and organized case files using the firm's case management system Monitor case progress and deadlines to ensure timely filings and client follow-up Contribute to a collaborative team environment dedicated to providing high-quality legal representation Qualifications We are looking for candidates who are organized, detail-oriented, compassionate, and committed to serving immigrant communities.
Preferred qualifications include:
Excellent organizational, written communication, and interpersonal skills Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines Ability to communicate professionally and empathetically with clients from diverse backgrounds Experience working as a paralegal in an immigration law firm strongly preferred Fluency in Spanish and English (written and spoken) strongly preferred Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys and staff Salary Ranges from 24.03/hour to 29.80/hour (50,000-62,000 per year for full-time), depending on experience.
