We are seeking an experienced Legal Administrative Assistant to join our Litigation practice group in Des Moines. This position provides legal administrative support to assigned attorneys handling litigation matters in multiple state and federal jurisdictions. The role is well suited for a motivated professional who thrives in a results driven, client oriented environment and can manage multiple projects efficiently and effectively.Key Responsibilities Include:
Prepare, draft, and review a variety of legal documents, including pleadings, discovery responses, and legal correspondence. Electronically file and serve pleadings and discovery in accordance with court and jurisdictional requirements. Support the intake of new matters, including facilitating conflict checks and processing invoices and reimbursements. Schedule and coordinate meetings, ensuring all arrangements are in place for both in person and virtual meetings. Assist attorneys with the preparation, organization, and coordination of litigation related projects, including document review (e.g., discovery, reports, contracts, and releases). Provide day to day administrative support, including routing mail, screening calls, maintaining calendars, and performing general clerical duties. Perform other job related duties and special projects as assigned.Our Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Strong attention to detail and well developed organizational skills. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. A minimum of two years of litigation legal administrative assistant experience. Experience e filing in both state and federal courts; exposure to additional jurisdictions is a plus. Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to anticipate attorney and matter needs. The ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast paced environment. A proactive, self motivated approach with sound judgment and a professional, collaborative demeanor. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel), with the interest and adaptability to learn new systems and technologies.Benefits:
