Our client, a growing full-service law firm, is seeking a Legal Administrative Assistant to provide dedicated support to a busy litigation team in Providence, Rhode Island. $62,000 - $85,000 (depending on experience) + amazing benefitsResponsibilities:
Draft, format, proofread, and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, affidavits, interrogatories, subpoenas, summonses, and related correspondence.
Coordinate attorney calendars, appointments, client meetings, court appearances, depositions, hearings, and other case-related events, including all necessary logistics and communications.
Maintain, organize, store, and retrieve physical and electronic case files, including pleadings, discovery materials, exhibits, evidence, deposition transcripts, and other legal records.
Manage confidential legal documentation and correspondence in accordance with firm policies and ethical standards.
Transcribe, edit, and proofread legal documents to ensure accuracy, completeness, and proper formatting.
Prepare and electronically file court documents in compliance with applicable court rules, procedures, and filing deadlines.
Perform document management functions, including filing, scanning, copying, faxing, and maintaining organized records and document databases.
Serve as a primary point of contact by answering telephone calls, screening inquiries, taking detailed messages, and directing communications appropriately.
Monitor case deadlines and provide timely reminders to attorneys and staff regarding court dates, filing requirements, and client matters.
Assist with administrative projects and provide ongoing support to ensure efficient office operations and timely case management.
Track, maintain, and update records related to billable time and case activities.
Perform additional administrative and legal support duties as assigned.
