Job Description
Our legal practice is continuing to grow, and we're currently seeking a hybrid Legal Assistant/Legal Secretary in our St. Simons office. The ideal candidate will exhibit high standards, excellent communication skills, and have an ability to take initiative, and prioritize daily tasks. A strong ability to be proactive and meet tight deadlines will ensure your success in this role. This position will require some billable time entry.
Responsibilities:
Drafting non-party discovery requests to medical providers and employers
Following up on non-party requests to ensure responses are timely received and invoices are paid
Drafting pleadings and written discovery templates
Occasionally e-file pleadings and motions
Occasionally perform fact investigations
Operating office equipment including printers, copiers, and fax machines
Compiling, maintaining and updating records
Qualifications:
Prior legal experience required
Strong interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills
Ability to multitask
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively while meeting deadlines.
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office suite and web-based applications
Pay:
From $45,000.00 per year
