Experience preferred (law firm / foreclosure a plus), but we will train the right candidate A busy New Jersey creditors' rights law firm with a strong foreclosure practice is seeking a detail-oriented, deadline-driven legal assistant to support our foreclosure compliance workflow, limited to SCRA and bankruptcy checks. This is not a general corporate compliance role. We are looking for someone who is comfortable in a law firm environment, takes pride in accurate documentation, and can keep matters moving in a high-volume practice. Perform SCRA (Servicemembers Civil Relief Act) searches and generate required certificates/confirmations for foreclosure matters Conduct bankruptcy verifications using PACER and related tools, document results, and escalate issues appropriately Track and update compliance results in case management systems and client platforms Coordinate with attorneys and paralegals to ensure files are clear for next-step action Maintain organized, audit-ready documentation and follow internal procedures and client guidelines What We're Looking For Experience in a law firm, foreclosure, or creditors' rights is preferred, but not required If you're trainable, organized, and accurate, we're willing to teach the right person our process Comfort with deadlines, high volume, and detailed documentation Strong written communication for legal documentation and professional client updates Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel); case management/client portal experience is a plus You'll Stand Out If You Have Experience running and documenting SCRA searches and PACER bankruptcy checks Familiarity with New Jersey court processes A steady, calm approach and strong follow-through What We Offer A stable, well-established creditors' rights practice with meaningful workflow and training support Competitive compensation based on experience Paid time off and benefits package (details provided during interview process) A team environment that values accountability, professionalism, and getting it right Health benefits- Medical, Dental and Vision 401K participation How to Apply Please submit your resume and a brief note highlighting any experience with SCRA and bankruptcy checks (PACER).
