Role:
Schedules and Submits Motions to court with Mail / Electronic Filing, Serving Defendants Documents via
Mail Duties:
Review each file to ensure all required documents needed to submit the order have been received For files that are lacking documentation
- request the necessary documents from the appropriate source Pick motion date and time in compliance with county/Judge rules. Notify scheduling department of hearing date and time Track for hearing date
- for counties pick the hearing date Review specific county requirements and assemble the court submission in the proper order as required by Court Ensure the completed submission is scanned to firm's case management system storage before sending to court Upload complete copy of motion to client system Prepare the necessary cover letters to court or Court Service Complete firm's case management system task calendar and update steps on all client systems Prepare Affidavits of Service and have executed in compliance with Notary laws Send original motion to court and mail defendant packets Request fee approval as needed on file by file basis Additional duties as assigned and/or as business needs dictate Processing Electronic E-filing Notifications (ECF) Knowledge, Skills +
Abilities:
Solid computer skills and accurate keyboarding skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Strong time management skills Strong comprehension and problem solving skills, with the ability to think analytically Strong verbal and written communication and client interpersonal skills Self-motivated and proactive individual Ability to work in a team environment to meet changing priorities and deadlines, as needed Experience +
Education:
High School diploma necessary, Associates preferred Notary Public helpful
Compensation Range:
$19
- $21/hour
- Base pay offered will vary by candidate and is based on various individual factors including but not limited to: market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits). If offered, details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if a candidate receives an offer of employment.
