[Hybrid] Office and Courthouses Position Summary We are seeking a motivated and professional Legal Assistant Intern to support attorneys with daily legal operations and client services. This internship provides hands-on experience in legal procedures, court attendance, case management, client communication, scheduling, and administrative support. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, professional, and interested in pursuing a career in law or the legal field. Key Responsibilities Attend court proceedings, hearings, and meetings alongside attorneys. Communicate professionally with clients regarding case updates, scheduling, and document requests. Manage attorney calendars, court dates, deadlines, appointments, and meetings. Assist with preparing, organizing, and filing legal documents and correspondence. Maintain client files and case records in both digital and physical formats. Conduct legal and factual research as assigned. Draft basic legal documents, letters, and case summaries under attorney supervision. Coordinate with courts, opposing counsel, vendors, and other legal professionals. Answer phones, respond to emails, and assist with office administrative tasks. Monitor case deadlines and help ensure compliance with court requirements. Assist attorneys with trial preparation, exhibits, and hearing materials. Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all legal matters. Support attorneys with additional legal and administrative duties as needed. Qualifications Must speak Spanish and English Currently enrolled in or recently completed a college, university, or paralegal program. Interest in law, legal studies, criminal justice, political science, or related fields preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational and time-management abilities. Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment. Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic office technology. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion. Preferred Skills Prior office or administrative experience preferred but not required. Familiarity with legal terminology or court procedures is a plus. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
