Full Job Description Position Overview:
Lichten & Liss-Riordan, P.C., a nationally recognized plaintiffs' side law firm, located in Boston's Back Bay, is seeking a full-time legal assistant to assist with the firm's fast-paced practice representing workers in wage and hour class action and other employment matters. This is a hybrid position and in office time is required. Candidate must be available to work overtime and to assist with special projects when needed; Essential functions include but are not limited to: Assist attorneys with all aspects of the litigation lifecycle of class action wage and hour cases, including: Interacting with clients and class members by phone and email. Coordinating and scheduling hearings, depositions, and trials. Drafting legal documents such as pleadings, written discovery requests and responses for attorney review. Performing cite checks and preparing tables of contents and authorities for legal briefs. Collecting documents and information from clients and third parties. Utilizing e-discovery platforms such as Everlaw to review, analyze, and produce documents. Filing documents using the CM/ECF system and state court equivalents (experience with MA, CA, and IL a plus). Other general administrative support tasks as needed.
Desired qualifications:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and identify key insights. Excellent time management, organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize assignments. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
