Full-Time Hybrid/Remote Working Environment About Us Successful and rapidly expanding Newport Beach Civil Litigation and Personal Injury Law Firm is seeking an experienced Personal Injury Paralegal to join our team. Our firm is looking for someone who is energetic and motivated with the ability to work efficiently in a busy environment with our team. We work hard but also are very friendly and are looking for someone who is personable and fits in well with the team. Excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude are essential. Must be able to multi-task and prioritize work in a timely manner. Must be detail-oriented and organized. Responsibilities Manage a personal injury caseload from intake through settlement. Communicate regularly with clients regarding treatment and case status. Review and summarize medical records and billing. Coordinate insurance claims, including liability, MedPay, UM/UIM, and property damage. Prepare settlement demand packages. Negotiate medical liens and reductions. Maintain case files and calendars. Communicate with insurance adjusters, healthcare providers, and clients. Assist attorneys through all phases of litigation. Draft pleadings, discovery, motions, subpoenas, and correspondence. Prepare and respond to written discovery. Coordinate depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trial preparation. Coordinate expert retention and document collection. File documents electronically in California state and federal courts. Qualifications Personal injury paralegal experience preferred. Strong knowledge of California civil litigation procedures. Experience handling both pre-litigation and litigation matters. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and time-management abilities. Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while meeting deadlines. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and legal case management software. Experience with electronic court filing (California state and federal courts) preferred. Bi-lingual English and Spanish preferred. Preferred Skills Medical record and billing review.
