Job Description
Our Firm and Position Summary:
We, Ressler & Tesh, are a busy plaintiff personal injury law firm located in Issaquah, WA. We handle cases involving childhood sexual abuse, catastrophic injuries, and wrongful death. We are looking to add a personal injury litigation paralegal to our growing team. This is a hybrid (after an initial training period), full-time, non-exempt hourly position. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, a team player, a problem-solver, a self-starter, and motivated to take on increasing responsibility in fast-paced litigation practice. Prior litigation experience highly preferred. Personal injury practice experience will be given priority. Familiarity and comfort with technology is a must. Candidate must be resourceful, independent and motivated with excellent communication skills and capable of managing an active caseload. We are a busy and fast-paced office, and the ideal candidate should be able to produce high quality volume in low amounts of unsupervised time. Paralegal duties will include but are not limited to: Case and client management; Potential client intakes; Regular and consistent correspondence with clients via phone, email, and text;

navigation - e-filing, e-serving, downloading, and searching for cases/records; Calendaring hearings, deadlines, and reminders; Communication with courts and opposing counsel; Drafting pleadings; Reviewing discovery documents; Drafting discovery responses; Investigative research; Delegating and overseeing tasks assigned to legal assistants; Tracking case costs; Coordinating depositions and mediations; Preparing disbursement documentation; Reviewing and analyzing medical records & other records; and Trial preparation.
Qualifications:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Prior litigation paralegal experience required (preference given to personal injury paralegal experience); Ability to respond promptly to attorney and clients; Ability to work independently; Contribute to a positive team environment; Solid and demonstrated understanding of local and state court rules; Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office; and The ability to work in a fast-paced environment under deadlines.
Working Conditions/Environment:
General office environment using standard office equipment provided by the firm; Work schedule is generally Monday to Friday with business hours of 8:30am to 5pm, with an agreed-upon hybrid schedule following an initial training period.
