Paralegal Sr Senior Paralegal (Global Trade Compliance)
Location:
Remote (Manassas, VA 20110
  • candidates must work Eastern Time hours)
Duration:
6+ month contract (extension or full-time conversion based on performance)
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, standard Eastern Time business hours
  • About the RoleWe are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Senior Paralegal to support global trade compliance operations. This role will focus on export/import authorization processes, regulatory compliance, and legal project coordination. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, manages multiple priorities effectively, and demonstrates strong judgment and integrity
  • -Responsibilities
  • Prepare, submit, and manage export and import authorization applications in line with U.S. government regulations
  • Coordinate export and import activities ensuring compliance with applicable laws and internal policies
  • Review documentation to assess compliance with U.S. export and import regulations
  • Support global trade compliance initiatives, including audits, assessments, and investigations
  • Maintain accurate records and manage files related to compliance matters and disclosures
  • Track non-compliance issues and support resolution efforts
  • Develop and maintain tracking tools for legal and compliance workflows
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to address ad hoc compliance requests
  • Assist leadership with additional duties and special projects as needed
  • Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Working knowledge of:
  • International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
  • Export Administration Regulations (EAR)
  • Experience managing legal documentation, records, and deadlines
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of integrity, discretion, and sound judgment
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience drafting ITAR and EAR license applications
  • Familiarity with global trade management tools (e.g., OCR EASE or similar systems)
  • Experience supporting compliance investigations, audits, or risk assessments
  • Strong project management skills within legal or regulatory environments
