Key Responsibilities:

• Medical Records
• Obtain, organize, and review medical records from healthcare providers. Analyze Medical Records to identify key information, summarize findings, and create reports. Communicate with healthcare providers and other medical facilities to request and follow up on medical records. Draft Medical records summary, chronologies, and other documents for case preparation.
• Demand Letters
• Prepare comprehensive and compelling demand letters on behalf of the clients who have been injured in accidents.

This includes summarizing the facts, outlining injuries, medical treatment, associated costs, and providing a clear demand for compensation. Review client employment records, tax returns, and other documents to calculate loss wages from the injury. Review Medical Records, police reports, and other evidence to understand the scope of the client's injuries, the impact on their life, and the potential value of the claim. Liaise with medical providers to gather necessary documentation and ensure accuracy in demand letter preparation.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Education:

• A bachelor's degree or associate of arts is preferred, though relevant experience is considered.

• Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of experience working in a Personal Injury law firm preferred.

Minimum 1-2 years of experience working with medical records in a legal or healthcare setting preferred. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel) and other applications and/or systems (i.e., Adobe Acrobat). Experience handling large volume of cases in a legal or healthcare setting. FileVine Case Management software (or similar) experience is a huge plus.

• Skills and personal attributes:
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, particularly when reviewing medical records, damages and accident facts.

Familiarity with personal injury law and standard practices in the preparation of settlement demands. Ability to handle multiple cases simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in office software, including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases, as well as case management software.
