The ideal candidate will guide clients through the probate process with compassion and efficiency, handling case files from initiation through closure.
Prepare and file probate court documents, including petitions, inventories, accountings, and closing statements.
Asset Management:
Coordinate the collection, valuation, and distribution of estate assets (bank accounts, real estate, and investments).
Client Communication:
Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, beneficiaries, executors, and financial institutions.
Case Management:
Maintain case calendars, track critical court and tax deadlines, and organize both physical and electronic files.
Document Preparation:
Draft correspondence, affidavits, deeds, and assist attorneys with simple Connecticut estate tax returns.
Qualifications Experience:
2-5 years of proven experience as a paralegal or legal assistant focusing on probate and estate administration.
Local Knowledge:
Strong familiarity with state-specific probate courts, procedures, and e-filing systems.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Clio legal case management software.
Soft Skills:
Superior communication, analytical, and time-management skills with a proven ability to handle sensitive matters.
Certifications:
