Pay range at $29-48 per hour, depending on experience. Hybrid schedule; must be able to work at the firm's Eugene office at least one day per week. No legal/law firm experience required. Candidates with experience in planning, public policy, environmental sciences, journalism, real estate business or related fields are encouraged to apply. The firm offers paid time off and a 401(k) account with employer contribution. Job Duties
- Perform factual research to support real estate, land use, water rights and environmental projects (e.g. use of online government databases and GIS systems; title records; review of policy documents and scientific and technical reports)
- Assist with preparation of legal documents (e.g. contracts; government filings and advocacy communications)
- Assist with intake/evaluation of potential clients
- Provide administrative support for firm operations Qualifications
- Educational degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience
- Interest in Oregon geography and/or natural resource management
- Strong analytical and fact-findings skills
- Effective oral and written communications skills
- Familiarity with relevant technology (e.g. Microsoft Office programs; document management and file transfer systems)
- Experience with mapmaking or Adobe Photoshop is valued
