Job Description

Brilhante and Ott, Attorneys at Law, LLC is a family law, mediation and probate firm serving Aiken and the surrounding area. We handle everything from custody and divorce to adoptions, guardianships, conservatorships, mediation and estate matters with compassion, clarity, and strategic focus. We're looking for someone professional, organized, and dependable—someone who communicates well and keeps things moving in a busy, team-oriented environment. Position Overview This is a front-of-house role—your desk is the first stop for clients and the first voice they hear when they call. The right person is comfortable with technology, willing to pitch in wherever needed, and takes pride in their work—even the small stuff. Key Responsibilities Answer and route incoming calls ("reception style") Intake specialist for new potential clients, gathering information Open physical and electronic filesFile management Document organization and filing Greet clients and serve as front desk point of contact Schedule new client appointments and send reminders Follow up on intake forms, documents, and payments Run daily errands to courts, post office, and other offices Handle basic scanning, copying, mailing, and file organization Draft and send letters as directed by staff Help keep the office tidy and client-ready Assist with special projects and team coverage as needed Be a witness to client signing documents or important meetings as needed Minimum Qualifications Strong comfort with technology; this role is fully computer-based Quick learner with solid communication and organizational skills with experience with busy phones Ability to grow and develop with feedback and participation in office process and procedures Reliable, in-person availability Monday-Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm Valid driver's license and dependable transportation Clean background check and drug free Professionalism, confidentiality, and a team-first attitud Friendly, patient and has a strong sense of urgency Bonus Qualifications Valid South Carolina Notary Experience in a law firm or law related field Experience with very, fast paced, multitasking positions Experience with phone centers or busy phone office positions
Pay:
$15.00 - $17.00 per hour
