Legal Assistant Haynsworth Sinkler Boyd, P.A. Columbia, SC Job Details Full-time 23 hours ago Qualifications Legal administrative experience Full Job Description Haynsworth Sinkler Boyd, P.A. with more than 110 attorneys, we encompass a broad spectrum of transactional and litigation practice areas for large corporations, small businesses, and governmental entities We currently have an opening in the Columbia, SC office for an onsite, fulltime Legal Assistant to join our practice.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct conflict checks and open new matters. Manage legal documents using document management software and prepare closing binders. Draft engagement letters and estate planning documents. File documents with the South Carolina Secretary of State and other authorities. Publish legal notices.
Qualifications & Skills:
Associate's degree or equivalent work experience preferred. Previous experience as a legal assistant with a minimum two to three years' experience. Experience with employment law a plus but not required Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Court Filing:
Proficient in South Carolina State and Federal court e-filing systems
Legal Knowledge:
Understanding of South Carolina Rules of Civil Procedure and Federal Court practices
Technology:
Comfortable working with legal technology tools and systems Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Experience with DocuSign and dictation a plus.
