Overview We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our dynamic legal team. Duties Provide comprehensive administrative support to attorneys and legal staff, including scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and coordinating meetings. Assist with legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, iManage, and other legal research tools to gather pertinent case law and regulatory information. Prepare and review legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, briefs, memos, and correspondence with precision and attention to detail. Manage legal case files using document management systems like PCLaw and ensure all records are organized, up-to-date, and easily accessible. Conduct document review and proofreading to ensure accuracy before filing or submission; transcribe dictations accurately for legal documentation. Support litigation processes through data entry, filing court documents electronically or physically, and maintaining case calendars. Perform legal research on topics including estate planning, UCC law (Uniform Commercial Code), workers' compensation law, personal injury law, landlord-tenant issues, securities regulations, tribal regulations, patent law, and immigration statutes. Assist with client interviews by preparing questions and documenting responses; support attorneys during client meetings as needed. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information while adhering to firm policies and procedures. Qualifications Paralegal experience or prior legal administrative experience is required; familiarity with multiple practice areas such as estate planning, environmental law, family law, securities law, tribal law & regulations, patent law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, landlord-tenant law, immigration law is highly preferred. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Excellent writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence; proficiency in proofreading and transcription. Experience with legal case management software including Westlaw, LexisNexis, iManage, PCLaw or similar systems. Knowledge of document review processes and familiarity with contract management systems. Ability to conduct thorough legal research utilizing Westlaw or LexisNexis on complex topics such as UCC law or securities regulations. Exceptional clerical skills including data entry, filing (physical and electronic), phone etiquette, and general office administration. Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail; ability to prioritize tasks effectively while maintaining accuracy under pressure.
