Job Description

Clients of DBC include several of Austin's most prominent publicly traded companies, as well as start-up ventures and high net worth individuals. We have an immediate opening for an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join our team!
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Strong knowledge of litigation procedures, rules of evidence, and court systems Proficiency in legal research tools (e.g., Lexis, Westlaw) and Microsoft Office Suite Experience with litigation management software and electronic document review platforms (e.g., Summation, Concordance, Everlaw) is preferred Excellent organizational, multitasking, and time management skills Strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure Key Responsibilities Litigation paralegals support attorneys in managing cases from inception through trial and appeal.
Their duties include:
Legal Research and Analysis :
Investigate facts, analyze case law, statutes, and legal articles, and prepare reports for attorney review
Document Preparation :
Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, memoranda, correspondence, and trial binders
Case Management :
Organize and maintain client and case files, both electronic and hard copy, including indexing, coding, and e-discovery management
Trial and Deposition Support :
Prepare exhibits, witness materials, and jury instructions; attend depositions and court proceedings to assist attorneys
Client Interaction :
Communicate with clients to gather information, provide updates, and maintain confidentiality
Court Filings :
Perform federal and state court filings, including electronic case filing (ECF), and coordinate with court personnel
Administrative Support :
Maintain litigation calendars, hearing schedules, and deadlines; assist with special projects and appeals

In addition to the base salary, this position is eligible for quarterly bonuses.
