Key responsibilities include scheduling appointments, conducting legal research, preparing trial materials, and ensuring all case-related information is accurately organized. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational and communication skills, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to providing exceptional client service. Job Responsibilities You will be working directly under an experienced attorney, with direct client contact. Your duties will include, but are not limited to: Assist, draft, and review legal documents such as motions, complaints, and other litigation related documents in strict confidence Maintain a high-volume of client files from start to finish Assist with trial preparation and maintain calendars Meticulously organize and maintain all case files and documentation in a paper or electronic filing system Manage the ordering, tracking, and follow-up of medical records Handle the written discovery process, including drafting, responding to, and organizing interrogatories, request for production, and request for admissions Communicate with clients, witnesses, lawyers, administrative staff, and other contacts Proactively monitor case workflow and client status reports and related deadlines Complete and file documents electronically and/or in person Create and/or maintain records, spreadsheets, and files Responsible for managing all day-to-day legal casework Coordinate all correspondence and logistics necessary Complete administrative tasks Perform other duties as assigned to support the needs of the firm Minimum Qualifications A high school diploma or equivalent is required 3-4 years of experience as a legal assistant specifically in civil litigation Key Competencies Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access Ability to be exceptionally organized and detail-oriented Efficiently time manage tasks to meet various deadlines Desire to learn and develop personally and professionally Plan, organize, and carry out multiple, related activities Ability to use technology effectively to improve processes and work product Excellent interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills Able to take direction and work independently, the ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines, and embrace new processes to meet changing demands Preferred Qualifications Experience with personal injury - plaintiff's side Associates degree in Paralegal studies Bilingual in
