We are a mission-driven, fast-paced practice where each team member plays a direct role in protecting clients' futures. About the Role We are seeking a highly organized and bilingual Legal Assistant to support our Legal Case Manager. This is a high-volume, detail-intensive position at the center of our day-to-day operations. You will be a critical point of contact for clients, courts, and legal staff: handling communications, coordinating calendars, managing case files, translating documents, and ensuring nothing falls through the cracks. The ideal candidate thrives under pressure, moves quickly between competing priorities without losing precision, and brings warmth and professionalism to every client interaction. Key Responsibilities Serve as a primary point of contact for clients in both English and Spanish Manage and maintain attorney and case manager calendars, including court deadlines, hearings, and client appointments Liaise with immigration courts, USCIS, and government agencies, including phone calls, written correspondence, and filings Translate and proofread documents, client communications, and legal materials between English and Spanish Maintain and update case files in Clio (or similar case management software), ensuring accurate and timely data entry Assist with preparation of immigration petitions, declarations, and supporting documents under attorney supervision Draft and send client-facing correspondence in both English and Spanish Handle general administrative tasks Requirements Bilingual — English and Spanish (professional fluency required in both) 1-3+ years of experience in a legal assistant or paralegal role; immigration law strongly preferred Strong written communication skills in both English and Spanish, including legal correspondence Proficient with case management software (Clio a strong plus), Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple competing priorities
