Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented family law Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. Your expertise will help streamline legal processes, manage case documentation, conduct thorough research, and assist attorneys in preparing for litigation and transactional work. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your legal skills in a collaborative, fast-paced environment dedicated to excellence. Duties E-file motions and pleadings. Conduct comprehensive legal research using LexisNexis and other legal research tools to support case development and legal analysis. Manage and organize legal documents and discovery. Assist with drafting, proofreading, and editing legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, discovery requests, and correspondence with precision and clarity. Review case files for completeness and accuracy; perform document review to identify relevant information for litigation or transactional matters. Maintain meticulous case management records, track deadlines, and ensure timely filing of documents in compliance with court rules. Provide administrative support including data entry, filing, scheduling appointments, managing phone etiquette, and organizing meetings to ensure smooth office operations. Experience Prior paralegal experience in a law office or legal environment is required; familiarity with family law desirable. Strong knowledge of legal administrative processes, including e-filing systems. Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Excellent writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence; keen proofreading abilities to ensure accuracy. Experience with clerical tasks such as data entry, filing systems, transcription services, and maintaining organized files. Exceptional organizational skills coupled with professional phone etiquette to support attorneys and clients effectively.
Pay:
$20.00 - $28.00 per hour
