Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic legal team as an Administrative Legal Assistant, where your organizational prowess and legal administrative expertise will drive efficiency and support across diverse practice areas that include Family Law, Criminal Law, Probate, & Estate Planning. This paid role offers a vibrant environment for motivated individuals eager to develop their legal skills, manage complex case files, and provide essential support to attorneys and clients alike. Your proactive approach will ensure smooth operations within our law office, empowering us to deliver exceptional legal services. Duties Provide comprehensive administrative support to attorneys. Manage legal case files using document management systems like Clio, ensuring accurate filing, data entry, and document review. Maintain Attorney Calander Intake process for Firm from phone, email, or walk-ins. Draft, proofread, and edit legal documents including contracts, pleadings, correspondence, and reports with precision and clarity. Organize and coordinate client interviews, witness statements, and internal meetings; maintain detailed calendars for court deadlines and appointments. Scan, organize, and file client information. Handle phone inquiries with professional etiquette while maintaining confidentiality; perform clerical tasks such as filing, data entry, transcription, and record keeping. Interact with Court Staff, other Attorney's and their staff, law enforcement, process servers and other. Experience Prior paralegal experience or legal administrative experience in a law office setting is highly preferred but not necessary. The most valuable skills are being punctual, consistent, intellectually curious, adaptable, and have a strong desire to learn. Proficiency with typing, Word, PDF's, scanning, copying, printing. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence; proofreading abilities are essential. Experience in project management within a fast-paced environment; ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities. Exceptional communication skills paired with professional phone etiquette; adept at client interviewing and internal collaboration. $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
