Job Description

Full time Legal Assistant, 9-5. Answer the phone. Take messages. Set appointments. Manage court dockets with 7 or 8 different courts in two different counties. Communicate with Court Clerks and Coordinators. Communicate with Court Clerks and Coordinators. Communicate. Communicate. Communicate. Read, pay attention to emails and calendar case settings. Update court settings daily. Get really familiar really quickly with different programs that tell me where to be and when to be there. NEVER let me miss a Court date because you didn't schedule it. Immediately learn where discovery (police reports, witness statements, video, audio) are (what platform it was sent to us on; where is it in the computer) and get it in the file. Oh yeah, set up files the way I want them set up (properly labeled, titled etc.). There will be new files to make every day. Talk to me, every single day. Ask questions. There are no stupid questions. Your cell is an office phone during work hours. Read and answer my texts. Call me with questions. Be nice. Work hard. Be cheerful. Talk to me. Text, email, call. Be a Computer whizkid.

$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
