Job Description

Helgesen, Houtz & Jones is looking for a friendly, outgoing individual to undertake all receptionist and clerical duties at the front desk of a well established, family-oriented law firm and to assist with paralegal/legal assistant tasks. A receptionist is the heart of our firm. The ideal candidate will have a friendly and engaging personality. The goal of this position is to help maintain existing clients and route cold calls from potential new clients to the appropriate attorney as efficiently and friendly as possible. This position will also require providing assistance to attorneys with moving cases forward by corresponding with existing client and local court personnel. The ability to multi task and prioritize is crucial in this position. At times you may receive multiple phone calls, while simultaneously helping clients in the office. A customer-oriented approach is essential. This is a full-time position. The hours will be standard business hours from 9:00am - 5:00pm.

Responsibilities:
Answer incoming calls from existing and potential new clients, and forward calls to the appropriate attorney. Assist attorney with moving cases forward by corresponding with existing clients and local court personnel. Schedule appointments and manage calendars Manage attorney calendars Greet clients and visitors upon entering the office Organize case files Manage office inventory and handle other office duties as needed
