Job Description

Experienced Bankruptcy Paralegal Location:
Midvale, Utah Hours:
Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. We're a well-established, small Utah law firm looking for an experienced bankruptcy paralegal or legal assistant to join our team. Our practice focuses primarily on consumer bankruptcy (Chapters 7, 11, and 13), and we also maintain a criminal defense practice. While bankruptcy experience is important, no criminal defense experience is required . If you're interested, we'll train you in that area as well. We're looking for someone who can be compassionate and enjoys helping people through difficult situations, takes pride in doing excellent work, and wants to become a valued member of a close-knit team. Monday through Friday schedule (9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.) No evenings or weekend work Friendly, relaxed, professional atmosphere Direct interaction with the attorney Your own private office Your own private restroom Interesting, meaningful work that truly helps people The opportunity to learn criminal defense in addition to bankruptcy if you'd like to expand your skills Responsibilities Prepare bankruptcy petitions, schedules, statements, and Chapter 13 plans Draft motions and other legal pleadings Electronically file documents through CM/ECF Communicate with clients, trustees, creditors, and the court Manage cases from intake through completion Assist with criminal defense matters as training is provided Qualifications Prior bankruptcy paralegal experience preferred Strong organizational and communication skills Excellent attention to detail Ability to manage multiple deadlines independently Compassionate, professional, and dependable Experience with bankruptcy software and Microsoft Office Able to maintain an accurate calendar of events and deadlines Benefits Paid Time Off (PTO) 401(k) retirement plan Monthly performance bonuses If you're looking for more than just another job—if you want to work in a supportive office where your work is appreciated, your ideas matter, and you'll have the opportunity to grow professionally—we'd love to hear from you.
