What You'll Do Kirkland & Ellis LLP is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Practice Assistant to support attorneys in a fast-paced, collaborative legal environment. This role is ideal for an experienced legal administrative professional who thrives on multitasking, delivering exceptional client service, and producing high-quality work. Key Responsibilities Provide daily administrative support to attorneys, including calendar management, travel coordination, and meeting scheduling Prepare, revise, format, and proofread legal documents, correspondence, and presentations Manage time entry, expense reports, and new client/matter intake Handle document comparison, transcription, and formatting using Microsoft Office and Adobe tools Maintain organized electronic and physical files in compliance with firm policies Collaborate with internal teams (Accounting, IT, Conference Services, etc.) Deliver high-level client service and support team workflows What You'll Bring 5+ years of legal secretarial or related administrative experience Advanced skills in Microsoft Word (including formatting/styles) required Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat preferred Strong proofreading, organizational, and multitasking skills Excellent communication skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment Work Environment Standard hours: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (35 hours/week) Flexibility for overtime as needed Professional, team-oriented, and fast-paced legal setting Why Kirkland & Ellis?
