Candidates should have excellent time management and organizational skills, and advanced technology and document production skills, including proficiency in legal software, document management systems, and complex document preparation. Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years' experience in civil litigation. As a Litigation Paralegal, you will ensure the efficient and timely workflows of attorney and client needs. The position entails direct client interaction and requires professional communication skills, both verbal and written. Responsibilities include proactively coordinating and completing pre-trial and trial assistance for General District Court, Circuit Court, and Appellate Courts at both federal and state levels. Primary Responsibilities Drafts legal documents, including pleadings, motions, affidavits, and discovery requests; Processes online filings with the courts; Closely monitors the status of cases and calendars case deadlines and hearings; Organizes, maintains, and retrieves case files, including exhibits, evidence, pleadings, and deposition transcripts; Manages all phases of document production, including discovery preparation and review; Prepares documents for depositions, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials, including assembling exhibits and organizing case files; Coordinating various case needs with outside vendors; Conducts legal research; Provides trial and hearing support, including preparing trial binders, managing exhibits, and assisting attorneys during proceedings. Adheres to firm policies and procedures related to best practices related to case management and daily timekeeping; Meets with attorneys, clients, and other professionals; Performs additional duties as assigned to support the firm's litigation practice. Required Skills & Abilities Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and legal research tools (experience with the programs Clio and NetDocuments experience are a plus); Advanced proficiency in preparing, editing, organizing, bookmarking, Bates stamping, redacting, and converting PDF files; Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and professionally; Thorough understanding of civil litigation procedures, court rules, legal terminology, and research methodologies research methods; Excellent interpersonal skills with a client-service orientation and the ability to build rapport with attorneys, clients, and staff; Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail and accuracy; Excellent time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to shifting demands; Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving; Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment; Commitment to maintaining strict confidentiality and exercising sound professional judgment.
