Job Description

Goodman Allen Donnelly PLLC has an immediate opening in our Glen Allen office for an experienced legal assistant to support various practice areas which may include medical malpractice or commercial litigation and Intellectual Property. The qualified candidate must have a minimum of 2 years of law firm experience. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook as well as have experience with client billing and time entry. We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented individual with a proven ability to multi-task as well as prioritize competing deadlines. Strong interpersonal, communication, and proofreading skills are required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Communication skills - both verbally and electronically Coordinate or manage email, calendars, contact information, tasks or similar communications activities for multiple attorneys Utilizing Outlook for calendaring, emails, correspondence Knowledge of electronic filing with the Court Coordinate or manage phone calls, voice mail messages or conference calls. Understands Document Management Systems - such as SharePoint Draft, revise, proofread or transcribe documents, presentations or correspondence. Proofread, edits, and/or assembles legal documents, including but not limited to, pleadings, contracts, subpoenas, legal memoranda, letters, proposals and/or other documents Revise billing documents Comparisons, conversions, merges, creation of tables of contents/authorities, etc. Assist with trial preparation Ability to perform research would be useful We offer a competitive salary, excellent working conditions and company paid benefits, including health and life insurance, paid time off and 401k.
