This pivotal role offers an exciting opportunity to support a wide range of legal functions across various practice areas, including estate planning, environmental law, family law, securities law, and more. Responsibilities Assist attorneys with legal research utilizing Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other legal research tools to support case development and strategy. Prepare, review, and proofread legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, discovery materials, and correspondence ensuring accuracy and compliance with court standards. Manage case files using document management systems like iManage and PCLaw; organize and maintain electronic and physical files for easy retrieval. Conduct thorough document review and data entry to ensure all case information is accurate and up-to-date. Support litigation processes by coordinating depositions, scheduling court appearances, and preparing trial exhibits. Perform administrative duties including filing, answering phones with professional etiquette, scheduling appointments, and managing calendars for attorneys. Conduct interviews with clients or witnesses as needed to gather relevant information for ongoing cases involving estate planning, immigration law, tribal law & regulations, or workers' compensation law. Qualifications Paralegal experience or prior legal administrative experience in a law office setting is strongly preferred. Proficiency with legal research platforms such as Westlaw and LexisNexis; familiarity with document management systems like iManage is a plus. Knowledge of multiple practice areas including estate planning, environmental law, family law, securities law, patent law, landlord-tenant law, personal injury law, tribal law & regulations, UCC law (Uniform Commercial Code), and workers' compensation law. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Excellent writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence; keen proofreading abilities to ensure accuracy. Experience with legal case management software such as PCLaw; familiarity with Westlaw or LexisNexis enhances your effectiveness. Exceptional communication skills coupled with professional phone etiquette; ability to conduct interviews effectively. Demonstrated ability to perform legal research and document review meticulously while maintaining confidentiality.
