Paralegal / Legal Assistant Plaintiff's Workers' Compensation & Personal Injury Law Firm Scott & Scott, PLLC | Seattle, WA Full-Time | In Person | $60,000-$70,000 per year At Scott & Scott, PLLC , we represent people who are navigating some of the most difficult and stressful moments of their lives. Our clients are injured workers, accident victims, and individuals who need steady guidance, strong advocacy, and a legal team they can trust. We are a boutique Seattle plaintiff's workers' compensation and personal injury law firm rooted in justice, compassion, and high-quality legal work. Founded by father-daughter attorneys Brian and Rachel Scott, our firm brings decades of experience to clients who need both skilled representation and genuine care. We are now looking for a Paralegal / Legal Assistant who takes pride in doing things the right way. This is an ideal role for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, dependable, and motivated by meaningful work. You will play a key role in keeping cases moving, supporting attorneys, communicating with clients, and helping injured individuals feel cared for and informed throughout the legal process. Our office is located in the Greenlake/Wallingford neighborhood and offers a calm, professional environment with easy access to public transportation and convenient parking. Your attention to detail, follow-through, and communication will help create clarity for them and stability for the legal team. What You'll Do As our Paralegal / Legal Assistant, you will support the firm's workers' compensation and personal injury matters through a combination of administrative, client-facing, and legal support responsibilities.
Your responsibilities will include:
Answering phones and serving as a professional first point of contact for clients and referral sources Docketing deadlines and helping ensure important dates are tracked accurately Drafting, preparing, and filing legal documents Ordering, organizing, and following up on medical records and bills Assisting with demand letter preparation Communicating with clients in a clear, respectful, and compassionate manner Maintaining regular contact with insurance companies and the Department of Labor & Industries Helping keep case files organized, accurate, and up to date Supporting attorneys with case progression, documentation, and follow-through Following established systems and processes to ensure consistent, reliable case management Who Will Thrive Here You will likely be a strong fit for this role if you are someone who: Enjoys structure, organization, and clear expectations Notices details others may miss Takes pride in accurate, complete, and thoughtful work Communicates clearly and professionally Can balance compassion with a calm, matter-of-fact approach Follows through without needing to be chased Is comfortable working with deadlines and defined processes Wants to contribute to a mission-driven law firm doing meaningful client work Values a professional, respectful, and steady work environment We are not looking for someone who needs constant direction or thrives on drama. Qualifications Preferred qualifications include:
Bachelor's degree preferred Paralegal degree or comparable legal experience strongly preferred Prior experience in a law firm or legal support role preferred At least 3 years of experience using Microsoft Word and Excel Familiarity with QuickBooks and Filevine is a plus, but not required Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Clear written and verbal communication skills Ability to follow established processes and meet deadlines reliably Professional, respectful, and client-centered demeanor Experience in personal injury, workers' compensation, or plaintiff-side legal work is helpful, but we are also open to candidates with strong legal support experience and a genuine desire to learn this practice area.
Compensation & Benefits Salary:
