Job Description
Our established Plaintiff Personal Injury Law Firm is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Assistant or Paralegal to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for law and strong organizational skills.
Responsibilities Include:
Organizing and maintaining legal files and documents Preparing correspondence Communicating with clients, medical providers and insurance adjusters Verifying medical balances and subrogation liens Obtaining and organizing medical records and bills Obtaining pertinent documents to prepare cases for settlement Maintaining Excel spreadsheets of medical expenses Utilizing case management softwareRequirements Include:
- Proven experience as a Legal Assistant or similar role
- Knowledge of legal terminology and procedures
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and accuracy in work
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Prior legal assistant or paralegal experience of three + years.
- Prior experience in personal injury is preferred.
