Job Description

Header Overview Join our dynamic legal team as a dedicated Legal Assistant/Paralegal, where your expertise will drive efficiency and precision across a variety of legal disciplines. You will be instrumental in ensuring smooth operations within a fast-paced law office environment, providing essential administrative and research support that empowers our attorneys to achieve excellence. Responsibilities Assist attorneys with case management by organizing and maintaining legal files using document management systems such as Clio. Conduct comprehensive legal research utilizing LexisNexis and other legal databases to support case preparation across diverse practice areas, Criminal and Family law. Draft, review, and proofread legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, discovery requests, and correspondence with precision and clarity. Perform document review and data entry to ensure accuracy in case files and legal databases. Support litigation processes by preparing exhibits, compiling evidence, and managing court filings in compliance with procedural rules. Conduct client interviews and gather pertinent information through effective interviewing techniques to assist attorneys in case development. Manage administrative tasks including scheduling appointments, coordinating meetings, handling phone inquiries with professional etiquette, and supporting executive administrative functions. Assist with project management tasks related to ongoing cases or legal initiatives to ensure deadlines are met efficiently. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information while ensuring all documentation aligns with legal standards and organizational policies. Qualifications Proven paralegal experience or equivalent legal administrative experience supporting multiple practice areas such as estate planning, immigration law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, patent law, or litigation. Strong knowledge of legal research tools. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment. Exceptional writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence; keen proofreading abilities to ensure accuracy. Demonstrated ability to perform detailed legal research and document review efficiently. Strong project management skills with the capacity to handle multiple cases simultaneously while meeting deadlines. Effective interviewing skills for gathering client information accurately and professionally. Proficiency in clerical tasks such as filing, data entry, transcription, and maintaining meticulous records. Outstanding communication skills combined with professional phone etiquette; ability to work collaboratively within a team setting. Pay:
