Job Description
Alabama State University, Department of Public Safety, invites applications for the position of Parking Enforcement Officer. Under direct supervision of the Director of Public Safety the Parking Enforcement Officer will ensure that all drivers adhere to parking regulations while on campus.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Patrol assigned areas throughout campus to ensure compliance with parking regulations and laws, order tow services and tow vehicles as necessary Record and maintain information about parking rules and regulations Testify in student hearings of contested of parking violations Support law enforcement officers as needed Respond to complaints regarding parking violations and disputes Main accurate records of citations issued and incidents encountered during shift Collaborate with law enforcement and ASUPD as needed Help manage parking for specials events to ensure safety and order Direct traffic and monitor parking areas to prevent violations Perform other duties as needed High School graduate or GED, be in good physical condition, be certified by a licensed physician to be in good health and fit for duty as a parking enforcement officer, and have 2 years of service as a Public Safety Officer or equivalent law enforcement experience.EEOC STATEMENT
