Job Description

THE POSITION
Are you lookign for an entry-level part-time position in municipal code enforcement? If keeping things orderly and ensuring compliance comes naturally to you, we invite you to join our team as a Parking Control Officer ! In this role, you will perform a variety of technical duties in support of City parking regulations. Responsibilities include issuing parking citations and warnings, towing vehicles in accordance with the California Vehicle Code, providing general information and assistance to the public, and performing related duties as required. WORK SCHEDULE & HOURS
This is a part-time, at-will, non-benefited position , limited to fewer than 1,000 hours per fiscal year (July 1 - June 30) . Hours may vary significantly from week to week.
Typical Schedule:
Monday -
Friday:
4-hour shifts beginning at 7:00 AM or 8:00 AM (depending on the day) One 5-hour shift per month on a weekend day (alternating Saturdays and Sundays)
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Any combination of experience and training that would provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be: Education and/or
Experience:
A high school or G.E.D. equivalent and one (1) year of work experience involving Parking Control enforcement and considerable public contact, preferably in a governmental department involving Parking Control Officer. Licenses and/or
Certificates:
