Job Description

at City of Newark in NEWARK, Delaware, United States Job Description The City of Newark is looking for hard-working, reliable, and professional team members with a focus on excellent customer service with an emphasis on de-escalation and interpersonal skills. Reporting to the Parking management team, this full-time position is responsible for community parking relations and enforcement of parking regulations for the City's parking division. The annual salary range is $49,002 to $71,195 with a hiring salary of $49,002, shift differential, excellent fringe benefits including employer paid individual healthcare, traditional pension, sick leave, wellness incentives, and paid time off. Up to two (2) candidates may be hired from this posting. Must be able to work outside and walk long distances in all weather conditions. Must be honest, have an excellent work record, and be able to work and communicate effectively with a wide variety of people. The successful candidate must possess a valid driver's license and a good driving record. A high school diploma or equivalent certification is required. The schedule for these positions will be (1) Saturday through Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. and (2) Wednesday through Sunday from 4:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. Interested individuals can review a full job description online and must complete an application at www.newarkde.gov/jobs by 4:00 p.m. Friday, July 17, 2026.
