Parking Enforcement Specialist

This is routine work in the enforcement of parking regulations. An employee in this class patrols an assigned area in a vehicle or on foot as needed, enforcing Florida State Statues and City Ordinances governing parking. Employees may be called upon to assist the public by providing information about parking locations and regulations. Work assignments may involve night and weekend shifts. Work methods are prescribed in detail, and the work is subject to periodic supervisory reviews. Employee works under general supervision and must exercise reasonable initiative and independent judgment. Must possess a valid Florida driver's license and have an acceptable driving record. Must successfully complete Parking Enforcement Specialist training. In addition to meeting the minimum qualifications listed above, an individual must be able to perform each of the established essential functions in order to perform this job successfully.
