Responsibilities Role:
Part Time/ Seasonal Parking Enforcement Officer Location:
Jacksonville Beach, FL Pay Rate :
17.00/hr If you are a detail-oriented professional who enjoys working outdoors and interacting with the public, join the SP+ team ! We are looking for reliable individuals to ensure compliance with parking policies while providing exceptional customer service.
What You'll Do:
Compliance & Enforcement:
Monitor designated streets, lots, and garages to ensure parking policies are followed. Issue citations or warnings using handheld computers and coordinate vehicle impounds or relocations as directed.
Customer Service:
Serve as a resource for the community by providing directions and information regarding events, building locations, and parking regulations.
Facility Maintenance:
Assist with upkeep tasks including inspecting lots, painting, cleaning, repairing meters, and installing signage.
Revenue Security:
Assist in the collection and security of parking revenues from meters and automated pay stations.
Event Support:
Support traffic control and payment collection during special events and peak seasons. • Please note that Enforcement Officers are not sworn police officers and have no arresting authority.
Qualifications Job Requirements:
Age Requirement:
Must be 18 years of age or older at the time of hire.
License Requirement:
Must have and maintain a valid state-issued driver's license with a current address and an acceptable driving record (required for operating company vehicles or bicycles).
Technical Skills:
Ability to operate a motorized vehicle, bicycle, and use a computerized handheld device for enforcement.

Judgment:
Ability to exercise sound independent judgment and apply parking regulations accurately.
Customer Service:
Ability to interact with the public in a courteous, tactful, and diplomatic manner.
Local Knowledge:
Familiarity with the geography of the assigned area and knowledge of safety hazards/precautions.
Availability:
Flexible schedule required. Special shift requirements may vary by location, including 2nd shift, 3rd shift, and/or weekends.
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
Physical:
Regularly required to stand and walk for extended periods. Must be able to use hands to handle or feel equipment and communicate effectively (talk and listen).
Weather Exposure:
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, including extreme heat, rain, or snow.
