PARKING SERVICES
(BA-PARK-IUBLA) Department Information Parking Operations oversees the issuance of parking permits, enforcement of parking regulations and maintenance, and funding of all or new campus parking lots and garages. Parking interacts daily with students, faculty and staff, departments, vendors, visitors, and the community as they conduct activity on the Indiana University (IU) Bloomington campus. We strive to provide a consistently positive experience for our customers. Great opportunity to work with us! Job Summary Paints exterior curbs using rollers. Removes old paint to prepare surface prior to painting. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned, including general parking facility maintenance duties. Qualifications
EDUCATION
Required High school diploma or equivalent (such as HSED or GED)
WORK EXPERIENCE
Required Some experience with painting SKILLS Required Proficient communication skills and ability to exchange information Maintains a high degree of professionalism Demonstrates a high commitment to quality Highly thorough and dependable Demonstrates customer service skills Friendly and service-oriented Strong verbal communication and listening skills Working Conditions / Demands This role requires the ability to remain in a stationary position as well as the ability to move about the workplace for long durations. It requires effective communication and the ability to operate machinery, tools, and controls. The role requires the ability to position oneself in low level positions, and to detect a variety of chemicals and/or gases. This role requires to move objects weighing up to 50 pounds multiple times per day. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation. Work Location Bloomington, Indiana Advertised Salary $13.00 per hour Work Hours Monday through Friday with flexible hours between 8:00am to 3:00pm. 29 hours per week, beginning now until August 15th.
