$2,504.55 - $2,883.73 bi-weekly (LTC V)DESCRIPTION
Incumbent serves as Parking Operations Manager for the Parking Enforcement for the City of Lafayette and is responsible for managing, coordinating and maintaining the operations of an in-house administered parking facility in an efficient and courteous manner in accordance with all local, state, and federal guidelines and standards. The position reports directly to the Mayor.REQUIREMENTS
Incumbent leads and directs the implementation of the City's goals and strategies for an effective Parking operations program. Administers the City's parking operations program including the on-street parking (1,200+ parking spaces), off-street parking facilities (2 city- owned parking garages). Incumbent administers and directs the financial management of the Parking Operations Department, including budget preparation, management and monitoring of vendor agreements and service contracts. A Bachelor's Degree in a related area is preferred. A minimum of five years of related experience or municipal government works is preferred but not required. Possession of a valid driver's license and demonstrated safe driving record is required. Must have a good working knowledge of computers and related software used to enforce traffic violations and to conduct general business practices. Should be proficient in Microsoft Office. Incumbent serves 24-hour on-call during emergencies, snow events, and equipment failures.PHYSICAL EFFORT
Performs duties in all environments, including lifting 25 to 50 pounds, crouching/kneeling, pushing/pulling/carrying objects, bending, reaching, sitting/standing/walking for extended periods of time. Exposure to violent/irate individuals, fumes, odors, dust, dirt, and extreme temperatures. Requires use of arms to reach and carry and use of hands to operate and handle objects and equipment. Also requires color and visual perception and discrimination, as well as oral communications ability and the ability to accurately perceive sounds.
