Required Qualifications:
High school graduation or equivalent Experience in a position involving public contact Valid driver's license and sufficient driving experience with all types of vehicles

Duluth Description:
Enforce parking policies and ordinances, including, but not limited to: hourly pay spaces, permit lots and other restricted parking areas on the UMD campus. Generate and print citations for parking violations through smartphones and other handheld technology. Provide information for the UMD Parking Board of Appeals regarding contested parking citations. Report damage or malfunctioning parking meter information as well as parking sign concerns and any other relevant items to the supervisor. Conduct minor field repairs and maintenance as needed. Keep record of habitual violators. Call 9-1-1 and have vehicles towed for offenders who have reached a predetermined violation threshold. Work with traffic control situations providing information to the public regarding parking, building and department locations. Explain parking ordinances to the public. Maintain well kept Transportation & Parking Services (TPS) vehicles. Assist with organization and cleanliness of the TPS garage/storage unit. Other duties as assigned. Employer retains the right to change or assign other duties to this position.
Work environment:
In-person 25 hours per week, 9 month position, shift is Monday thru Friday noon-5:00pm
