Job Description

JOB SUMMARY
The Parking Services Assistant assists in the operations of the Parking, Card and Transportation office on campus. This position is responsible for the distribution and sale of University parking permits, fielding parking calls and email inquiries, receiving and posting payments, performing regular audits to ensure accuracy, editing and entering information into the vehicle management system, troubleshooting garage equipment hardware and software.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinates the sale and distribution of parking permits and coupons; produces and issues SLU Cards; receives and posts payments for permits and replacement ID's; Answers phone and email communication with customers; responds to inquiries regarding parking and transportation policies and procedures, fees, parking options, appeals process; fields communication regarding rental vans and University shuttles. Coordinates event parking; ensures the gate list is accurate and up-to-date each week; and programs and communicates all necessary gate functions with DPS and Enforcement. Coordinates and process monthly metro passes; signup, ordering, distribution and reconciliation. Troubleshoots garage pay machine issues, both hardware and software; and works with vendor to resolve issues. Performs other duties as assigned

Customer relations skills Interpersonal/human relations skills Basic math skills Understanding of service-oriented environment Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word Ability to respond to questions in a tactful and professional manner Ability to manage multiple tasks and shift priorities
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Associates degree Two or more years of related work experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Five years of customer service experience PAYMENT Hourly $18.00
