Job Description

Job Description This Parking Enforcement Officer is mainly tasked with writing citations when necessary and monitoring all University lots for Permit compliance and enforcing parking rules and regulations. Provides parking services, public relations services, enforcement of parking regulations, and traffic control throughout campus. Monitors security of campus parking facilities. Assist Public Safety Officers as needed with special events parking, crowd and traffic control. The Enforcement Officer will make appropriate judgement calls on whether to issue parking citations based on established guidelines and department enforcement philosophy.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent 0-2 years' experience
Required Licenses/ Certifications:
Must have a current valid driver's license for a minimum of 2 years, with a clean driving record for the last 3 years and no major violations within the last 5 years.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Basic computer knowledge to enable signing into various systems, inputting timecard information, using email, and other similar computer functions Ability to learn to work with new software Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing Ability to observe, assess, and record hazardous conditions in parking areas/structures Ability to use two-way handheld radio Ability to work nights, weekends, special events as needed. Ability to provide excellent customer service consistently. Knowledge of public events safety and crowd control principles, procedures, regulations, and standards •This is a Part-time, 20 hours / week, non-benefit eligible position. Work Schedule will be 8:00 am - 12:00 pm; Monday - Friday and some weekends as required.
