JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title:
Parking Enforcement Agent - (PEA)
Shift:
3pm to 11pm Tuesday - Friday and Saturday, Flexible Some flexibility required Reports to:
Operations Manager and Client Service Manager FLSA Status:
Non-Exempt Location:
Providence Summary:
The Parking Enforcement Agent is responsible for identifying and booting scofflaw vehicles. Primary responsibilities include operating vehicle, Mobile License Plate Recognition (MLPR) camera system, and immobilizing target vehicles by applying a self-release boot. Secondary responsibilities include performing assisted releases, communicating stolen vehicle hits to the Police Department, and assisting in vehicle impoundment of scofflaw vehicles. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Responsible for safe driving of vehicle through deployed routes Perform visual inspection of all equipment (vehicle, boots, MLPR system, etc.) and record all results Upon identification of approved scofflaw vehicles, complete and apply seizure notices to vehicles and affix self-release boot to front curbside tire Communicate promptly any problems or issues that affect productivity in any way Find solutions or deal with any problems that help alleviate downtime and maintain productivity as much as possible (e.g. fixing equipment, repairing, etc.) Responsible for the safe handling of MLPR camera and computer equipment Use in-vehicle computer to visually confirm license plate matches, enter activity data in the Software system, write reports, and send and receive e-mails Provides updates with Help/Dispatch Center throughout the day Provide assisted release of vehicles as needed Provide tow support as needed Complete all daily, weekly and monthly activities (activity log, incident report, end of day report, etc.)

Communication Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Possess the ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Has the ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
Math Ability:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Possess the ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Possess the ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Computer Skills Ability to use a computer using basic computer skills, such as typing, and general knowledge of Microsoft operating system, word processing, data entry. Driving Skills Must be able to drive a vehicle and maintain a valid driver's license. Equipment Ability to communicate using electronic devices such as Nextel phones, cellular phones, fax machine, etc.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently in an outdoor environment and will occasionally be exposed to outdoor weather conditions when traveling. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes and airborne particles, and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is constantly required to drive between 0-25 miles and may frequently drive between 26-100 miles. In addition, the employee is frequently required to talk, hear, move, bend and sit. The employee frequently required to operate a computer and mouse. The employee is constantly required to walk and use their hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee will frequently lift and/or move up to 16 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.
