Job Description

Job Summary The Juvenile Probation Officer is responsible for supervising juvenile cases and ensuring compliance with court orders. This role involves monitoring and supporting juveniles in their rehabilitation process while maintaining a comprehensive understanding of their individual needs. The officer will work collaboratively within a team to make decisions, solve problems, and provide accurate, timely reporting. Responsibilities include maintaining, annotating, and preparing court documents, as well as managing cases involving FINS (Family in Need of Services), informal diversion programs, and delinquency cases. The Juvenile Probation Officer will interact regularly with community-based providers, attorneys, families, and other probation officers to facilitate positive outcomes for juveniles under supervision. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for fostering productive relationships with juveniles and their families, as well as key stakeholders in the justice system. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree preferred. Bilingual preferred. Perform multiple tasks, including handling interruptions, and return to and complete tasks in a timely manner. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Operate standard office equipment, including a personal computer and applications appropriate to assigned duties.

From $41,550.00 per year
