Deputy Probation Officer II - Lateral Los Angeles County, CA The Los Angeles County Probation (LACP) is seeking highly motivated, experienced individuals outside of LA County for the position of Deputy Probation Officer II. Salary :
$77,370 - $110,077 Annually The ideal candidate is an existing Deputy Probation Officer II outside of Los Angeles County who wants to work for a Department that is stepping up to be the change that is happening in Los Angeles County and have an unwavering passion for transforming lives. Plans and monitors supervision programs to enable positive behavior change Investigates and evaluates cases of adults and juveniles Monitors compliance, evaluates the seriousness of probation violations, and recommends action as needed Prepares reports and recommendations to court for dispositions of adult or probation youth cases Instructs probationers regarding the terms and conditions of the probationary period New hires must spend one year in juvenile halls to learn LACP practices. Candidates must meet the following criteria: A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university. Currently hold a position equivalent to Deputy Probation Officer II in California (outside of LA County) for at least one year. Completion of Probation Officer Core (POC) training and PC 832 or completion of Juvenile Corrections Officer Core (JCOC) training and PC 832. No felony convictions. Must be at least 21 years of age at the time of hire. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States under federal law.
